Acacia Dealbata (Mimosa)

Plant Description:

Acacia Dealbata (Mimosa) is an evergreen shrub with a silvered blue-green leaf. It flowers in Winter and Spring producing clusters of little rounded flowers that are yellow with an intense scent of violets.

• Size: Height 5-10m
• Spread: 6m (over a 10 year period) 
• Position: Requires a sunny sheltered site with well-drained soil.
• Planting: Soak the root-ball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the root-ball or pot. Mix general fertiliser with infil soil. Water regularly until established.
• Plant Care: Regular pruning will help maintain a shapley bush. Will respond to very hard pruning if needed. Best pruned in early Summer.
