Plant Description:

Alder Buckthorn, Frangula, is a large shrub with glossy green leaves that turn yellow, contrasting with red berries in the Autumn. Alder Buckthron prefers damp, peaty sites, and unlike Common Buckthorn - it is thornless. It has a similar habit to Bamboo.
