Phormium 'Black Adder' is an evergreen perennial. It has strap-shaped foliage that are a deep purple with a red tint. It is a clump forming plant and is ideal for providing colour contrasts within the garden.

Position: Plant in moist well-drained fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Protect from cold winds and hard frosts. Cut back the stalks to the base after they have finished.
