Deciduous- pinnate leaves to 30cm (12in) long, composed of up to 17 narrowly elliptic to lance-shaped, toothed, glossy, dark-green leaflets
Tall Shrub- upright shrub with stout shoots. Flowers, 3cm (1¼in) across are produced in terminal, upright panicles 15-20cm (6-8in) long, with the leaves in late spring. Yellow-green marks at the petal bases mature to brown.
