Plant Care & Advice
Evergreen hedges need less water than deciduous or flowering hedges. In late fall, remove dead wood and weeds and, if necessary, restore the mulch layer around your hedge. An essential part of our recommended aftercare is watering. Newly developing plants need to be drenched during the first year, ensuring that water reaches their roots. Even in winter, when most plants are dormant, there can be dry spells, so plants need a generous soaking. Hedging also benefits from being fed. We recommend bonemeal, alternatively any similar slow release fertiliser.
