Sambucus Nigra Black Beauty (Common Elder) is a compact deciduous shrub with dark purple-black leaves. It has a flat head of pink flowers produced in early summer that change to purple-black berries in autumn.

Position: Plant in moist but well drained soil in partial shade to full sun.
Planting: Water the plant well remove the pot and plant in a hole large enough or container large enough to avoid disturbing the rootball. Back-fill with soil mixed with compost. Water regularly and throughout the plant's first year of growth.
