Plant Description:

Ginger is a lovely plant that has medicinal benefits.  It is easy to grow but needs a sheltered position, with moist but well drained soil, not in direct sunlight.  It is advisable to start your root off in  a pot indoors and then move it outdoors when the temperatures start to rise.  Ginger can also be grown for its attractiveness as a plant. It has lovely foliage and if brushed passed it has a lovely strong scent.
