Elaeagnus 'Compacta' is a more compact and dense form of the evergreen shrub Elaeagnus ebbingei. It features glossy green leaves with a silver tint and a speckled, silvery underside. In autumn, the shrub produces highly fragrant creamy white flowers, which, despite their small size, fill the air with a remarkable scent. These blooms are followed by orange-speckled fruits. This hardy shrub thrives in a variety of soils and can grow in both sun and shade, making it an excellent choice for hedging or screening.
