Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki'
The Osakazuki has one of the most beautiful reds of all Japanese maples. His red toned leaves quickly transforms into an intense crimson with an undertone of orange-red before finally dropping his red leaves around his base. Although they will grow best in a rich well-drained soil, they will also do well in sandy soils and clay.The Osakazuki is very resistant to the leaves burning during the summer. Regular watering during dry weather helps maintain the tree to its best form.
