Cornus alba ‘Sibirica Variegata’ is an attractive deciduous dogwood grown for its striking variegated foliage and bright winter stem colour. In spring and summer, its rich green leaves are edged with creamy-white margins, adding light and contrast to borders, mixed beds, and contemporary plantings. Through autumn the foliage may develop warm tones before falling to expose vivid red stems that provide bold winter structure and year-round interest. Small clusters of creamy flowers can appear in late spring, followed occasionally by pale berries, but foliage and stems are the main ornamental features. Fully hardy in UK conditions, it prefers moisture-retentive, well-drained soil and grows well in full sun or partial shade, with early spring pruning promoting vigorous new growth and the brightest stem colour.
