Cornus kousa ‘Beni-Fuji’ is a refined deciduous dogwood grown for its richly coloured floral bracts and elegant garden presence. In late spring to early summer, pointed bracts in deep rose to reddish-pink tones appear above the foliage, creating a long-lasting display that gradually deepens in colour as it matures. Fresh green leaves form a dense canopy through summer, often followed by strawberry-like red fruits and vivid red to purple autumn colour. Slow growing and well proportioned, it suits smaller gardens and specimen planting. Fully hardy in UK conditions, it prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil in full sun or light shade, where it develops its best flowering and autumn colour.
