Orla seed potatoes produce round to oval tubers with cream skin, pale-yellow flesh and a pleasing flavour. Lift them young for boiling and serving with butter and herbs, or leave them to develop into larger potatoes for baking and roasting.

This flexible early variety can also be grown as a second early or very early maincrop, depending on when you harvest. With strong foliage growth and good yield potential, Orla is a useful choice for gardeners who want to enjoy both an early crop and larger potatoes later in the season.

Harvest

Begin checking in June–July for young potatoes from spring planting. Leave longer for larger tubers, lifting when they reach your preferred size.
