Phillyrea angustifolia
Phillyrea angustifolia is a tough, evergreen shrub or small tree valued for its narrow, dark green leaves and exceptional tolerance of difficult growing conditions. Native to the Mediterranean, it forms a dense, upright structure with fine-textured foliage that remains attractive throughout the year. In late spring to early summer, small creamy-white flowers are produced along the stems, lightly scented and attractive to pollinators, followed on female plants by small dark berries in autumn.
