Skimmia japonica ‘Temptation’ is an outstanding compact evergreen and one of the easiest Skimmias for customers wanting berries because it is self-fertile. Glossy aromatic green leaves provide year-round interest, while deep red flower buds open into clusters of small white flowers in spring. These are followed by masses of shiny, vivid red berries, creating a superb autumn and winter display. Unlike most berry-producing Skimmias, ‘Temptation’ does not require a separate male plant to produce fruit, making it an ideal choice for smaller gardens and containers where space is limited.
