Actinidia deliciosa ‘Boskoop’ is a productive kiwi vine producing creamy white flowers in late spring, followed by small, oval, brown-skinned fruits with soft hairs. The fruits ripen from October and have the classic sweet kiwi flavour when fully mature. This variety is described as self-pollinating, allowing fruit production without a separate male plant, although warm conditions improve cropping. Vigorous and twining in growth, it is best trained against wires, pergolas or sunny walls. ‘Boskoop’ prefers a sheltered, warm position with fertile, well-drained soil and benefits from protection while young. Plants typically begin fruiting after three to five years and can crop generously once established.
