Actinidia deliciosa ‘Golden Kiwi’ is a climbing kiwi variety grown for its distinctive yellow-fleshed fruit and strong ornamental growth. In late spring it produces creamy white flowers, which develop into oval fruits that ripen in autumn. When ready to harvest, the flesh is golden in colour with a smooth, sweet flavour that is milder and less acidic than traditional green kiwis. The plant forms vigorous, twining growth with large green leaves, making it well suited to training over pergolas, wires, or sunny walls. Best results are achieved in a warm, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil, and fruiting is most reliable when grown with a suitable pollination partner.
