Cornus kousa 'Claudia'
Cornus kousa ‘Claudia’ is a compact flowering dogwood valued for its gentle pink bracts and refined garden presence. In early to mid-summer, softly coloured bracts emerge above the foliage, forming an elegant floral display that gradually deepens in tone as the season progresses. The mid-green leaves create a dense canopy through summer, often followed by decorative red fruits, before turning warm red to orange-red shades in autumn. Naturally slow growing and well proportioned, it is well suited to smaller gardens and specimen planting. Fully hardy in UK conditions, it prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and performs best in full sun or light shade.
