Forsythia × intermedia ‘Mikador’ (PBR) is a compact deciduous shrub prized for its bright early spring display. Before the leaves appear, the stems become lined with clear yellow flowers that bring strong colour to the garden after winter. As the season progresses, green foliage emerges and fills out the plant, forming a dense, tidy shrub through summer. Its smaller, controlled growth makes it a good choice for borders, informal hedging, or planting in gardens where space is limited. Hardy and dependable in UK conditions, it grows in most soils that drain well and will flower reliably in both sunny and lightly shaded positions.
