Geum ‘Pretticoats Peach’ keeps its peach-coloured flowers close to a cushion of fresh green foliage. The semi-double blooms have a loose, layered appearance that suits soft planting combinations, particularly alongside cream, lilac and pale pink flowers.

Its low flowering height makes it useful beside a terrace or towards the front of a bed, where taller plants would interrupt the view. Although compact in height, the leafy clump needs room to broaden as it establishes.

This variety can produce successive flushes from spring through summer. In a container, give it a sunny position and keep the compost from drying out completely during active growth.

How to care for Geum ‘Pretticoats Peach’

Plant in spring or autumn when possible, choosing the light conditions recommended for your variety. Improve poor soil with garden compost and water thoroughly after planting. Once a flower stem has finished blooming, cut it back towards the base to encourage further growth. Remove damaged leaves as needed, keeping healthy basal foliage intact.
