Bright yellow petals and dark flower stems give Geum ‘Tempo Yellow’ a crisp contrast. Its semi-double blooms appear in spring above a rounded mass of green leaves, bringing colour to the border before many midsummer flowers begin.

Pair it with violet or blue flowers to make the yellow stand out, or combine it with white and fresh green for a lighter scheme. It works particularly well in small groups where the separate plants can develop into a generous patch.

Allow for its eventual width when planting. Although the flowering stems remain moderate in height, the foliage forms a broad clump as the plant matures.
