The red leaves of Heuchera ‘Forever Red’ bring warmth and definition to the garden, with the richest colouring often appearing in the cooler weather of spring and autumn. Cut, gently ruffled leaf edges give the compact mound a lively texture, while white flowers add a clean contrast later in the season.

Plant it where its foliage will be seen against green leaves, pale stone or a simple neutral-coloured pot. It also works beautifully repeated through a border with bronze sedges and dark purple heucheras. This is a useful choice for carrying colour between flowering seasons, particularly in planting that needs an autumn lift.
