Heuchera ‘Midnight Rose’ has foliage worth looking at closely. Its dark burgundy, almost-black leaves are scattered with bright pink markings, each leaf carrying a slightly different pattern. As the season moves on, some of the pink markings lighten towards cream, adding another colour to the display.

Place this patterned heuchera beside a path or in a patio pot where its detail can be appreciated. Plain green companions allow the speckled leaves to stand out, while silver foliage picks up their lighter markings. Fine stems of cream flowers appear in late spring and early summer, although the leaves remain the main attraction.
