Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Princess Diana’ is a distinctive deciduous hydrangea with unusual star-shaped pink flowers that give it a lighter, more delicate look than a traditional mophead. The blooms appear in generous clusters through summer, standing out beautifully against fresh green foliage. Its compact, bushy habit makes it a lovely choice for patio pots, mixed borders, cottage-style planting and sheltered garden spots where you want a hydrangea with something a little different.

How to care for Hydrangea macrophylla 'Princess Diana'

Plant in fertile, moisture-retentive soil that drains freely. Choose a spot with partial shade or morning sun and shelter from harsh afternoon heat. Water regularly during dry spells, particularly if grown in a container. In spring, remove old flower heads back to a healthy pair of buds and cut out any weak or damaged stems. Avoid heavy pruning, as this may reduce flowering.
