Hydrangea scandens First Love is a revolutionary Japanese-bred variety, celebrated for its unique trailing habit and exceptionally early flowering. Starting in late spring, it produces a profusion of delicate, lacecap-like blooms that emerge a soft creamy-white before maturing to a beautiful blush pink. Unlike traditional upright shrubs, First Love features flexible, arching stems that make it ideal for hanging baskets, decorative patio containers, or cascading over low garden walls. Its compact, semi-evergreen foliage provides a lush backdrop for the scented flowers, which appear weeks before other hydrangea varieties. Thrives in partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Fully hardy and low-maintenance. Height: 40-60cm; Spread: 60-90cm.
