Paeonia ITOH 'Pastel Splendor' is an intersectional peony valued for its softly coloured flowers and reliable garden performance. The blooms open in late spring, showing gentle pastel tones with a darker centre, and are carried on sturdy stems above a broad clump of foliage. Like other Itoh peonies, it combines the seasonal die-back of herbaceous types with the flower quality associated with tree peonies. It is well suited to borders where a long-lasting peony with subtle colouring is required.
