Paeonia rockii 'Lan He' (Blue Lotus) is a rare and vigorous tree peony from the Gansu region, celebrated for its unique, lavender-blue floral display. This architectural deciduous shrub produces massive, semi-double blooms reaching up to 18cm in diameter, featuring delicate, silk-like petals in a sophisticated lilac-blue shade with prominent purplish-black basal flares. Unlike common peonies, 'Lan He' is an exceptionally strong grower with a multi-branched, upright habit that holds its fragrant flowers well above the deep green, lance-shaped foliage. Reaching a mature height of approximately 1.5–2 metres, this legacy plant is incredibly resilient, offering superior resistance to wind, drought, and extreme cold.
