Capture the rare elegance of the Gansu mountains with Paeonia rockii 'Ri Yue Tong Hui', a premier tree peony known as 'Sun and Moon in Harmony'. This architectural, woody shrub is prized for its large, semi-double blooms that emerge in a delicate blush-pink to creamy-white, beautifully set off by the iconic, velvety maroon-purple flares at the base of each petal. The contrast between the soft, silken petals and the glowing crown of golden-yellow stamens creates the 'celestial' effect for which this variety is named. Unlike herbaceous types, 'Ri Yue Tong Hui' develops a permanent, self-supporting woody framework reaching up to 1.5m, requiring no staking even when in full bloom.
