Pieris japonica 'Passion' (PBR) is an evergreen shrub grown for its colourful new growth and spring flowers. Fresh foliage emerges in rich red tones, creating strong contrast before maturing to deep green later in the season. In spring, the plant produces hanging clusters of dark pink to red flowers that stand out clearly against the foliage. Growth is compact and upright, forming a neat shrub without the need for regular pruning. As an evergreen, it provides structure throughout the year and is best suited to acid soil in sheltered garden positions where both foliage and flowering can be fully appreciated.
