Variegated Jacob’s Ladder
Polemonium ‘Golden Feathers’ – Variegated Jacob’s Ladder
Polemonium ‘Golden Feathers’ earns its place as much for its leaves as its flowers. Each finely divided leaf combines a green centre with golden-yellow edges, giving the plant a bright, patterned appearance. Lilac-mauve flowers rise above the foliage in spring and early summer.
Its compact shape makes it easy to place near a path or at the front of a border, where the leaf markings can be appreciated close up. Try it beside a dark-leaved heuchera for a simple foliage pairing, or give it space in a patio container.
After the flowers fade, the variegated leaves continue to contribute colour during the growing season.
