Skimmia japonica ‘Godrie’s Dwarf’
Skimmia japonica ‘Godrie’s Dwarf’ is a charming dwarf evergreen shrub with a naturally rounded, compact habit. Its leathery mid- to dark green foliage provides reliable year-round structure, while clusters of greenish-white flower buds develop during winter and gradually deepen to attractive pinkish-red tones. These open into tiny, fragrant pink flowers in spring. Reaching only around 75cm in height and width, it is particularly well suited to smaller gardens, patio containers and the front of shady borders. ‘Godrie’s Dwarf’ is a male cultivar, so it will not bear berries itself but can provide pollen for female Skimmias.
