Syringa vulgaris ‘Michel Buchner’ is a traditional lilac valued for its softly coloured, fully double flowers and rich spring fragrance. In late spring, generous upright panicles open in pale lilac-pink tones, creating a refined display that is gentle in colour but strong in scent. The flowers sit neatly above fresh green foliage, giving the shrub a balanced, well-proportioned appearance while in bloom. Naturally upright and robust, this variety develops into a substantial, long-lasting shrub when grown in a sunny position with free-draining soil. Reliable, elegant, and easy to live with, ‘Michel Buchner’ is well suited to gardens where classic lilac character and fragrance are a priority.
