Syringa vulgaris ‘Mme Lemoine’ is a classic white lilac grown for its refined flowers and strong spring fragrance. In late spring, it produces large, upright panicles packed with fully double blooms in clear white, creating a bright, elegant display that stands out against the fresh green foliage. The scent is rich and traditional, making this variety particularly effective near paths or seating areas. Forming a sturdy, upright shrub that improves with age, ‘Mme Lemoine’ performs best in sunny positions with free-draining soil and rewards gardeners with dependable flowering year after year.
