Although it does not produce edible fruit itself, ‘Atlas’ plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable cropping. With strong twining stems and large, lush green leaves, it is ideal for covering pergolas, trellis systems, and sunny walls. Hardy and fast growing in fertile, well-drained soil, it performs best in a warm, sheltered position and is typically planted at a ratio of one male to several female plants for effective pollination.
