Size

Aronia melanocarpa ‘Hugin’ is a compact, deciduous chokeberry chosen for its tidy growth, useful fruit, and strong seasonal colour. In late spring, small white flower clusters appear against fresh green leaves, later developing into dark, glossy berries by late summer that are suitable for cooking and preserves. As autumn arrives, the foliage changes to vivid red and orange tones, creating a bright, long-lasting display before leaf fall. Hardy and adaptable, ‘Hugin’ performs reliably in most garden soils and is well suited to borders and wildlife-friendly planting where controlled size and autumn impact are important
