Cephalanthus occidentalis Proven Winners© ‘Sugar Shack©’ is a naturally compact form of buttonbush developed for modern gardens where space is limited. In early to mid-summer, it forms perfectly rounded clusters of creamy white flowers, each made up of fine, protruding stamens that give the blooms a distinctive, almost starburst appearance. These flowers stand out clearly against the fresh green foliage and are highly attractive to bees and other beneficial insects. Unlike the larger-growing species, ‘Sugar Shack©’ maintains a dense, well-balanced shape, making it especially suitable for damp borders, pond edges, and wildlife-friendly planting without overwhelming its surroundings.
