Cornus kousa ‘Copacabana©’ is a distinctive deciduous flowering dogwood grown for its bold variegated foliage and refined seasonal interest. The leaves emerge bright green with clear creamy-yellow margins, creating strong contrast throughout spring and summer, while small creamy-white floral bracts appear in early summer, held neatly above the foliage. As the season progresses, the canopy remains decorative before turning warm red and orange tones in autumn, extending its visual appeal. Compact and slow growing, it is particularly well suited to smaller gardens and specimen planting. Fully hardy in UK conditions, it performs best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil in full sun or light shade, where foliage colour and overall form are at their best.
