Fargesia robusta ‘Pingwu’ is an upright clump-forming bamboo appreciated for its strong vertical growth and dense evergreen foliage. Tall green culms emerge closely together to create a tight clump, forming a natural screen without the invasive spread associated with running bamboos. Narrow leaves line the stems, giving the plant a soft, leafy appearance while still maintaining a clear upright structure. As it matures, it develops into an effective living screen or architectural feature in the garden. Well suited to UK conditions, it prefers fertile soil that holds moisture yet drains well and grows successfully in either sunny or partially shaded locations.
