Festuca glauca ‘Intense Blue’ (PBR) is a compact ornamental grass valued for its striking blue foliage and neat mound-forming habit. The plant produces dense tufts of fine, needle-like leaves with a strong silvery-blue colour that remains attractive throughout the growing season. In early summer, slender stems rise above the foliage carrying small flower spikes that add light movement to the plant. Its tidy, rounded shape makes it well suited to rock gardens, border edges, gravel planting, and containers where colour and texture are needed. Hardy in UK conditions, it grows best in well-drained soil and thrives in a sunny position.
