Helleborus ‘Pretty Ellen Purple’ – Purple Hellebore
Deep purple flowers give Helleborus ‘Pretty Ellen Purple’ a striking presence in the late-winter garden. Each single bloom has an open, saucer-like shape, with pale golden stamens standing out against the darker flower colour. Beneath them, leathery green leaves form a compact clump.
This purple hellebore is particularly effective where you can enjoy its flowers close up: along a shaded walkway, on the edge of a woodland border or in a pot beside the door. Try it with white-flowered hellebores for a crisp contrast, or weave it between early bulbs for a richer spring planting.
