Hydrangea macrophylla Light-O-Day is a striking lacecap variety from the First Editions collection, prized for its elegant variegated foliage. The deep green leaves are edged with a crisp, clean white margin, providing bright garden interest from spring through autumn. In summer, it produces delicate lacecap blooms featuring outer rings of pure white sterile florets surrounding a centre of tiny fertile flowers that appear blue in acidic soil or pink in alkaline conditions. This compact, mounding shrub is perfect for brightening up shaded borders or patio containers. Thrives in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. Fully hardy. Height and spread approx. 90-120cm.
