Hydrangea paniculata ‘Fraise Melba’ is a vigorous deciduous shrub known for its large conical flower clusters and strong upright growth. From mid-summer, the long panicles open in clean ivory-white tones before gradually colouring from the base upward into rich strawberry-pink shades, creating a striking two-tone display as the season progresses. The blooms are carried on sturdy reddish stems that help keep the flower heads upright even after rain. Flowering continues well into autumn, providing a long season of interest. Exceptionally hardy and dependable, this variety works well at the back of borders or as a statement shrub in the garden. Mature plants typically reach around 1.5–2 m in height with a spread of about 1.2–1.5 m.
