Luma apiculata is an attractive evergreen plant valued for its distinctive bark and year-round structure. The smooth, cinnamon-toned bark peels naturally to reveal lighter patches beneath, providing visual interest in all seasons. In summer, small white flowers appear among the glossy green foliage, followed by dark berries later in the year. Best grown in a sheltered position, this plant works well as a specimen shrub or small tree in gardens where mild conditions can be provided.
