Lycium barbarum 'Big Lifeberry' is a high-performance deciduous shrub from the Proven Winners collection, specifically selected for its oversized, nutrient-dense fruits and robust growth. This premium Goji Berry variety produces a heavy crop of elongated, brilliant red berries with a sweet-tart flavour profile, ripening throughout the summer and into autumn. In early summer, the plant is adorned with subtle, star-shaped purple flowers that provide a delicate ornamental contrast to its arching, sage-green stems. Reaching a mature height of 2.5m, Big Lifeberry is exceptionally hardy, drought-tolerant once established, and flourishes in neutral to slightly alkaline garden soils. Its vigorous, upright habit makes it a superior choice for productive edible hedging or as a high-yield focal point in kitchen gardens and mixed borders.
