A lovely little olive tree for adding that Mediterranean look to a patio, doorway or sunny corner of the garden. This Olea europaea is supplied in a 19cm pot and stands around 100-110cm tall including the pot.

It has narrow, silvery-green evergreen leaves and a clear stem of roughly 50cm, giving it a neat standard shape that works well in pots. Grow it in a warm, sunny, sheltered spot and use free-draining compost or well-drained soil.

Once settled in, olive trees are fairly easy-going and drought tolerant. They look especially good as a matching pair either side of a front door, path or patio steps.
