Paeonia ITOH 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' is an intersectional peony selected for its deep red flowers and sturdy growth. Blooming in late spring, it produces large semi-double flowers carried on strong stems above a broad clump of foliage. Like other Itoh peonies, it combines the seasonal die-back of herbaceous types with the flower quality associated with tree peonies, making it a reliable and long-lasting choice for border planting.
