Introduce rare oriental elegance to your landscape with Paeonia rockii 'Lan Zhou Chou', a prestigious 'Blue Lanzhou Silk' tree peony. This vigorous, woody shrub is celebrated for its huge, semi-double blooms that emerge in a sophisticated cool lavender-pink, accented by the iconic dark-maroon 'Rockii' flares at the heart of each silky petal. Reaching an architectural height of 1.5–2 metres, 'Lan Zhou Chou' features exceptionally sturdy, upright stems that support its massive floral display without the need for staking. Its deeply-divided, grey-green foliage provides a refined backdrop for the heavily scented flowers, which emerge in late spring. This 'legacy plant' is incredibly resilient, offering superior resistance to drought and extreme cold compared to traditional garden peonies.
