Introduce a touch of dark, oriental mystery to your garden with Paeonia rockii 'Mo Guan Yu Zhu', a prestigious 'Black Crown Jade Pearl' tree peony. This vigorous, woody shrub is celebrated for its large, semi-double blooms that emerge in a sophisticated creamy-white to soft-pink, dramatically contrasted by the iconic, velvety near-black flares at the base of each petal. Reaching an architectural height of 1.5–2 metres, 'Mo Guan Yu Zhu' features exceptionally sturdy, upright stems that support its massive floral display without the need for staking. Its deeply-divided, grey-green foliage provides a refined backdrop for the heavily scented flowers, which emerge in late spring.
