Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' is a compact ornamental grass grown for its tidy habit and soft, bottlebrush-like flower plumes. It forms a dense mound of narrow green leaves during the growing season, followed by pale flower heads from mid to late summer. The plant maintains shape into winter before being cut back in spring. Its smaller size makes it suitable for borders, container planting, and situations where a controlled grass is required.
