Pennisetum alopecuroides is a clump-forming ornamental grass valued for its arching foliage and soft flower plumes. It produces narrow green leaves through the growing season, followed by rounded, brush-like flower heads from mid to late summer. The plant maintains structure into winter before being cut back in spring. It is widely used in borders and naturalistic planting schemes where seasonal movement and texture are required.
