Size

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Minion' is a deciduous shrub that remains deliberately compact in both height and spread. It develops a firm, branching framework that carries coloured foliage through the growing season, giving the plant visual presence without producing long or unruly growth. Flowering is brief and secondary to the leaves, which remain the dominant feature until autumn, when they are shed. Growth is measured and predictable, allowing the plant to fit comfortably into smaller planting areas with minimal intervention. This variety is suited to garden use where restrained size and seasonal leaf colour are more important than extended flowering.
